This boat will be operational from April in the Mediterranean and 9 other catamarans (other 51s but also 45s) are scheduled to be delivered over the course of the next 24 months. For Fountaine Pajot, this is going to be a real baptism of fire: chartering creates a ruthless test, but one that’s also indispensable for validating any new technology. The industry’s #2 (Sunsail/The Moorings) are also looking at electric propulsion, but for the time being, just for tenders. Charter business is definitely on the move!
