Following the developments in electric furlers, and with their increasing reliability, the teams from the Wichard Group have adapted the multi-motor principle for gennakers of a sail area up to 140 m² (1,507 sq ft): the new FXe 4500 can furl a downwind sail in just 45 seconds – notably, without effort - while limiting energy consumption to 20-25 Ah.

This compact electric furler is delivered as a complete kit (relay box, circuit breaker, cable, deck outlet, storage bag, protective cover...) and features a dedicated, simple and waterproof electrical connection. Installation is easy thanks to the snap shackle at the bottom and the quick attachment of the gennaker tack. This product is also being distributed by Profurl under the name Nex-e lite - the forks are specific to each brand, but the bodies are the same.
