It is heartwarming to see so many people walking the docks of this iconic boat show. The preview day was an absolute success – Sunny day, mild temperatures and the VIP tickets were sold out in a matter of hours.
The boat show seems slightly smaller than what we remembered but so many new models on display in the multihull section: The KC 54, Leopard 42, Bali 4.2, Balance 482 and so many more models that might not have come out of the factory in 2021, but are on display in the US for the very first time. Unfortunately, some highly expected models couldn’t make it to the show – mostly due to the Covid restrictions on travel from European countries and supply delays.
On a more positive note, the Multihull of The Year nominees were announced yesterday, live from the show. Look for the 2022 MOTY stickers on the boats to discover the models that you will be voting for starting Feb 16, 2022.
