And they’re off on the fourth edition...
This multihull-only event is quite recent, given that it began in Sint Maarten in 2019; the Caribbean Multihull Challenge has nevertheless managed to win over a large number of participants and even to be held in 2021, annus horribilis for the racing world because of Covid-19.

The Sint Maarten Yacht Club announced on July 24 that the dates for the 2022 edition have been set for February 4, 5 and 6, 2022. In order to spice up the event, the organizers have planned a race within a race - the Sprint, a 60-mile run from Simpson Bay to St. Barts and then to the island of Tintamarre before entering the Anguilla channel and then completing the circumnavigation of Saint Martin. The Sprint is open to any CMC registered multihull capable of completing the course in six hours or less.
The Sprint will be held on the windiest day of the regatta so that the Ocean Racing and Ocean Cruising multihulls can maximize their speed and maybe even set a new course record.
