Three hulls, easy handling
This plan, the 288th presented by Reichel/Pugh, hasn’t been drawn to tread on the toes of the undisputed leader of the mass-produced blue water cruising trimaran, NEEL, as it is a one-off optimized for a sailor with reduced mobility.

The steering and manoeuvring stations are set forward on both sides of the superstructure, remaining at the same level as the cockpit. Onboard circulation is optimized by an access on the aft transom of the central hull and a door leading to the forward cockpit. The mainsheet is hydraulically operated while all other manoeuvres are performed by electric winches. This trimaran is under construction at New Zealand Yachting Developments and is expected to be launched and delivered in the fall of 2021.
