BREAKING NEWS ! GAME CHANGER 60, 70 ET 80 - Design innovant

AQUANAUT - Pleasure and speed

PROJECT - Turkish shipyard Licia Yachts is unveiling an audacious project designed by Officina Armare: a 60-foot power catamaran whose sporty design is clearly influenced directly by the automotive industry. The powerful 2 x 800 HP engines combined with deep V hulls promise more than flattering performance – a cruising speed of 30 knots, and 40 knots top speed. Comfort will be ensured by large relaxation areas, bars and dining rooms. Aquanaut has also been designed to accommodate all kinds of nautical toys, such as the U-Boat Worx Nemo submarine, shown here. When at anchor, the bulwarks can be folded down to enjoy the deck area even more. Launch scheduled for 2021.

60 SUNREEF POWER - Ultramodern ocean passagemaker

The 60 Sunreef Power may be the “smallest” powercat in the Polish shipyard’s Power range, but it already has all the attributes of an ultra-modern multiyacht. Easy to handle, this luxury catamaran can be sailed with or without crew. Thanks to its large beam, the 60 Sunreef Power offers an extremely spacious saloon. On the same level as the aft cockpit, this large semi-open space is fully customizable and bathed in sunlight thanks to a skylight and panoramic glazing. The large volumes of the lower deck can be customized to suit the sailing program and lifestyle of the individual owner. The hydraulic platform offers a relaxation area close to the water, perfect for watersports. The figures are of course a little out of the ordinary, with more than 3,000 miles of range, or a 345 sq ft (32 m²) flybridge equipped with a jacuzzi…

NEW ! MCCONAGHY 59P - Power and carbon

The hulls of this upcoming McConaghy 59P are reminiscent of those of the sailing catamarans produced by the shipyard, and the material is the same (carbon), so the performance will undoubtedly be just as flattering - 26 knots announced. The nacelle extends significantly forward here: a cockpit replaces the trampoline. The layout is very much inspired by the Mc55 sail, in particular the huge saloon largely open, aft, which makes it possible to do away with the cockpit itself. But it is forward that the big change is taking place, with the addition of a central owner’s cabin. The view over the water promises to be exceptional… A McConaghy 63P is also announced.

NEW ! CLASS 6 POWER - Fuel consumption reduced to one quart per mile

The Latvian O Yachts shipyard is launching a power version of its Class 6. After two years of sea trials, the builder has validated the original “Smart Hybrid” powertrain. In other words, an electric engine in one hull, a diesel engine in the other. The idea is to take advantage of all the benefits of electric propulsion - no pollution, no noise pollution, the possibility of sailing in protected areas - and of the longer offshore range guaranteed by the diesel propulsion. The fineness of the hulls, combined with a displacement of 11.5t (25,350 lbs), ready to sail, thanks to the composite/carbon construction, allows for minimal consumption: one liter (just over 1/4 US gallon) per nautical mile at 10 knots! A “Full Electric” version will also be available. All sorts of customization are possible: solar panels, a rig with a short mast, kite wings etc.

SERENITY 64 - Retractable bimini

American marketing and Turkish production combine extremely well for this Serenity 64. The designers chose to offer a hybrid engine combining two electric and two internal combustion engines: a reassuring and environmentally friendly choice. While the layout is fairly traditional, much attention has been paid to its quality. But what amazed us was the ingenious rigid bimini entirely covered with solar panels, which lowers to the point of covering the huge flybridge to reduce air draft and/or windage.

NEW ! POWER 67 - Long-haul luxury

Unlike the Motor Yacht range (MY 37, MY 40 and MY 44) designed specifically to be motor boats, the Power 67 is a catamaran developed using as a base, the Alegria 67, the flagship of the Fountaine Pajot sailing fleet. The hull has of course been optimized to meet the specific requirements of motor boats, and to support the power of the engines, which range from 2 x 300 HP to 2 x 435 HP. This is enough to offer speed enthusiasts a wide range of top speeds of over 20 knots, even if the main interest of this type of unit is to go along between 10 and 15 knots in remarkable comfort. Another specific feature is that the Power 67 version offers a flybridge designed 100% for life on board, with the area dedicated to sail handling being reorganized to offer new spaces. Hull #1 was delivered to Greece back in the summer.

SUNREEF SUPREME 68 POWER - 3,230 square feet of living space

The Supreme range with its angular design is available in both sailboats and motoryachts - but it is the latter that is really targeted by the concept. Everything has been optimized to obtain record living space including a main deck and a flybridge of 700 sq ft (65 m²) each. The interior can be fitted out to suit your requests and without any constraints, as the volumes are similar to those of a house. The layout makes it possible to have the largest living space in the category in this size, then to decorate it as you like, assisted by the interior design studio set up by the yard. The 20’ x 20’ (6 x 6 m) garage can accommodate all kinds of watersports toys...

LAGOON SIXTY 7 - You might say superyacht...

This is one of the great powercat innovations of the 2019/2020 season... First of all, because of her imposing size, but also because this model, the baby sister to the SIXTY 8 was eagerly awaited by potential buyers. The objective of the SIXTY 7 is clearly to attract owners of superyachts of 100 feet and over, bored with the high costs and complicated management of their vessel. Lagoon was therefore keen to offer this clientele a more compact powercat that requires a smaller crew. However, comfort has nothing to envy that on a superyacht, even if the famous suspended terrace of the owner’s cabin of the SEVENTY 8, the flagship of the range, is no longer incorporated. The SIXTY 7, on the other hand, retains the same sleek design and offers an exceptional level of finish.

ILIAD 70 - 2,000 mile range to discover everything

With her three deck levels and her à la carte comfort, the big sister to the Iliad 50 offers the luxury of a multiyacht, yet she was designed for long distance cruising, as evidenced by her shaft-driven props and keels adapted to taking the ground. Well powered, she manages to exceed 20 knots while offering a range of 2,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. Inside, the raised Owner’s cabin will win all the votes.
