EUPHORIE 5 - Ready for the big off

The challenge for architect Marc Lombard was to propose a power version of the very successful Série 5: a gamble that paid off, as the elegant Euphorie 5 has irreproachable seakeeping qualities and a luxury level of comfort. With the exception of a few details, particularly in the cockpit, it naturally follows the same layout plan - the gigantic owner’s cabin still occupies the full width of the central rostrum. As usual in the Privilège world, customization is possible and high-end quality is present in every detail. A real invitation to head off further afield!

ILIAD 50 - Mission : blue water cruising

The Iliad range is built in China and distributed in Australia. This 50-foot boat, designed for ocean crossing, is complemented by three other models: the Indigo 53, the Iliad 60 and the Iliad 70. The Iliad’s program is much more adventurous than that of most of its competitors: the possibility of covering 2,500 nautical miles without refueling and being able to take the ground, on a beach or slipway proves it from the outset... However, comfort has not been neglected, quite the contrary: the Iliad 50 offers three levels of living space and a particularly neat finish.

PC52 - Semi-custom offshore boating

Horizon have been producing yachts in Taiwan since 1987 - so much so that their experience is plain to see everywhere on board the PC52. This model is the first of the range as it also includes the 60, the 65 and the 74. However, like her big sisters, the 52 is treated like a superyacht. Quality materials, robustness and rigidity are the key words for the construction. Each model is built in a small production run to reduce costs while preserving a great deal of freedom in terms of layout and equipment.

LEOPARD 53 PC - A winning design

First presented at the 2020 Miami Boat Show, the 53 PC replaces the Leopard 51 PC launched back in 2013. This boat features real motoryacht lines, with a solid foredeck, pronounced topsides and an impressively-sized flybridge. A very clear effort has been made in terms of design: the coachroof is visually lighter than on previous models. Inside, moving around is easy: a wide central passage connects the aft cockpit to the foredeck saloon - accessible thanks to the famous front door, dear to Leopard. Outside, there’s no shortage of space for relaxation, and access to the sea and the dinghy has been given priority. Our test demonstrated the good handling of the 53 PC and her speed possibilities – up to 25 knots.

NEW ! AQUILA 54 - A forward for the owner

Building on the experience of the Aquila 44 and 48, the manufacturer offers a new, larger model, the Aquila 54. The first 3D renders reveal a perfectly protected flybridge and, notably, a new owner’s cabin located at the forward end of the nacelle. This benefits from an impressive amount of glazed surface area. The saloon includes two sofas, one of which serves as a bench seat around the table. The U-shaped galley adjoins the cockpit and is completed by a central bar. The Aquila 54 is available in 3 to 5 cabins. This new model has now just been launched, and success looks to be guaranteed with 18 units already on order…

SILENT 55 - Pioneering E-power

With almost 20 catamarans delivered, Silent Yachts is one of the pioneers in electric propulsion. There’s no denying that the 55, presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, is most convincing. The 100% electric E-Power version with two 135 kW motors can reach 10 knots - as we were able to measure during our test - is particularly attractive. The Cruiser model, less powerful, offers greater range. As for the hybrid diesel-electric version, this will reassure even the most skeptical. Finally, Silent offers a Sails version, which will delight those most committed to preserving the environment. Inside, five layout options are available, with a special mention for the Master cabin, positioned centrally, forward.

Clean design, classic features, but with hulls optimized for excellent passage through the sea, and optimum engine performance, this is how this brand-new model made in South Africa presents itself. NEW ! LEEN 56 - At last, a production power trimaran!

NEEL Trimarans, born in 2009, can claim to be the only manufacturer to offer large production trimarans - 30 units are produced every year. Thanks to this unique positioning and their expertise, the yard announced the launch of a new brand of powered trimarans called LEEN (an intelligent reflection of NEEL, being named after the owner and founder of the yard, Eric Bruneel). The first model announced is the LEEN 56, characterized by a platform of large surface-area, topped by an imposing flybridge. The advantage of these new ocean-going multihulls is their very low drag: consumption will be limited to 2 liters (just over ½ US gal) per mile at cruising speed (10 knots). The diesel engine in the central hull will be supported by two electric pods - one in each hull - to facilitate maneuvering in port and for leaving an anchorage with the greatest discretion.

NEW ! SILENT 60 - In electric mode at every power level

This new model, currently in build, will fit in between the Silent 55 and the 80. The hulls have inverted bows and impressive freeboard – there’s no lack of volume on board, especially as the nacelle sits over a good part of the deck. Extended at the bow by a cap and at the stern by a large bimini, the superstructures are designed to support a maximum surface area of solar panels (450 sq ft/42 m² as opposed to 325 sq ft/30 m² for the Silent 55). The Silent 60, like all the other models of the brand, is of course propelled by two electric motors. The manufacturer offers three options - 2 x 30 kW, 2 x 250 kW and 2 x 220 HP motors coupled to two small 14 kW electric motors. The various layouts available offer up to 6 cabins and as many heads compartments.
