Hybrid or 100% electric
On the strength of three years’ experience in the field of “electrification” of their internal combustion engine powered cats, Nova Luxe unveiled their first model in August. Rather elegant with a low deck line at cockpit level, the Elite 50 offers a beautiful living space and a huge flybridge. The flybridge is protected by a hardtop, which supports 10 kW of solar panels - enough to provide enough power for 24 hours at anchor. The GE version has two electric motors and a generator, while the DE model has a 300 hp diesel engine with a 15-kW alternator (compared to 1 kW they started with) and an electric motor.
