For Francis Lapp, president and founder of the shipyard, this was a day to be remembered: “It was an unforgettable event for our shipyard, to hand over the yacht to such an incredible person and athlete as Rafael Nadal. My team at Gdańsk did everything possible to create the yacht that Rafa and his wife Maria have dreamed of. I’m sure they will have a great time with their friends and family on board.” Launched back in May in Poland, the 80 Sunreef Power ordered by Rafael Nadal was delivered “home” to Mallorca. This ultra-modern multiyacht designed for blue water cruising offers an exceptional living area of more than 360 m² (3,875 sq ft) - read our full review in MW #171. Like all Sunreef yachts, this 80 Power is a semicustom unit, with this one offering a huge saloon on the main deck with access to the foredeck, a giant flybridge equipped with a bar, barbecue and relaxation area, a garage for the jet-ski, an Owner’s Suite with an opening side balcony and luxurious guest cabins each with their own private bathroom. Rafael Nadal has chosen metallic blue-grey hulls and white superstructures. Inside, the decor is sober and elegant with beige, cream and coffee tones. This 80 Sunreef Power is equipped with two 1,200 hp engines - the same motors as in the first model in the series, presented at Cannes in September 2019.
