KNYSNA 500 SE : Indestructible!

NEW
Like the South African port from which it takes its name, the 500 SE has character - Knysna is a splendid city at the head of a bay-lagoon whose entrance is sporty with rough seas. Solidly built to withstand difficult conditions without damage, this catamaran is delivered highly equipped and customization is the rule. The cockpit saloon is well sheltered and the semi-flybridge helm station has a sunroof that allows the helmsman to be closed in if there’s bad weather. The traditional woodwork of the interior fittings is superb and evokes a neat British style. The manufacturer also offers a 550, available in both sail and power versions.

RAPIDO 50 : Super-fast and foldable!

NEW
The launch of the 60 was enthusiastically received by the specialists, so Rapido Trimarans obviously turned to architects Morelli and Melvin for a version with folding arms to rationalize docking in the marina. This twin-cabin boat has many of the same elements as her bigger sister. The raised helm station provides excellent visibility while protecting the cockpit. The very pronounced chine above the waterline provides a surprising amount of interior volume without compromising performance, which is always a priority. This innovative multihull, designed by one of the most experienced teams in the world, renews the genre by offering sailors eager for sensations a tool worthy of their requirements. TS5 : At full speed, in total simplicity…

Christophe Barreau likes simplicity, a guarantee of speed and peace of mind, without complex systems or fragile installations. So, in this spirit of happy frugality, he designed the TS5, which nevertheless offers all the necessary comfort. Either 5 double cabins and a saloon-cockpit unit that is very popular today. But it’s only when you place your hand on the tiller, and sit in the bucket seat, that you know if you are right for a TS or not! The quality of construction is impeccable and the weight specifications well-respected. There may be a few less horsepower at the top end of the rev-counter compared to her predecessor, the TS52, but the average speeds are amazing. Other nice surprises include her excellent performance in light airs, the high close-hauled course she can keep, or simply the sensations in medium airs.

Windelo 50 : An innovative ecological approach

NEW
The new Windelo catamaran builder is based at Canet-en-Rousillon, in the south of France. The shipyard is working with the Barreau/Neuman team to develop a complete range from 40 to 60 feet. Windelo is announcing an ecological approach by using basalt fiber and PUT foam (from recycling). But what’s original about the Windelo? The helm station and sail trimming are integrated into the nacelle. The saloon will open onto the cockpit thanks to an up-and-over door - a system validated on board the Balis. Each model will be available in three versions - Sport, Adventure and Yachting. The yard is also designing an electric-engine version. The first model, the Windelo 50 and its extended version which carries more canvas, the Windelo 53.8, should be in the water in 2020.

LEOPARD 50 : Flybridge or no flybridge?

To say the least, when it was first launched in South Africa, the Leopard 50 caused a sensation. Available with or without flybridge, the coachroof of the 50 extends forward: passengers are protected on the forward terrace - characteristic of Leopards. Inside, the chart table and galley are more ergonomic and there’s more volume. All the trim and finishes have stepped up a notch. On board this pretty catamaran, the weight centering has been optimized and the sleek sail plan will offer good performance. Majestic 530 : A successful extension of the 500

The Majestic 530 was designed on the basis of the very popular 500. The extra meter (3’) of length benefits the sugarscoops and cockpit, of course but also average speed. Though the overall lines of this model reflect a little of the current production trends, such as like the very raked bows, in use this in an extremely safe, robust and perfectly finished catamaran. And a host of small details, such as ventilation, have been fine-tuned to the extreme…

EAGLE CLASS 53 : Foils and hybrid wing

NEW
After a long period of development since last spring, the Eagle Class 53 caused a sensation at this year’s Annapolis Boat Show... and rightly so: with this extraordinary catamaran, the American shipyard Fast Forward Composites meets the specifications of an enlightened amateur and has conquered the developments of the flying-tightrope catamarans of the last America's Cup. In terms of innovations: The Hybrid Wing, a rigid semi-wing, developed by Randy Smith - this is composed of an initial carbon profile rotating 360 degrees and a fully-battened mainsail. Foils are of course on the list. To remain light, the facilities are in line with aeronautical standards. BALI 5.4 : Just like at home!

On the largest of the Balis, we find the XXL-version of everything that has characterized the brand since its inception. The saloon-cockpit unit becomes a spacious marine terrace thanks to the opening of the big overhead door. The deck extends all the way to the bows, offering an exceptional “tanning area” that is accessible directly from the saloon via a watertight door. The size of this multihull makes it possible to accommodate up to six cabins in the hulls, a must for the charter market. Let's bet that the spaces and equipment “just like at home” will also win over some private owners. The performance of this giant remains surprising: reasonably loaded, it goes very well upwind by just coming off the wind a little.

LAGOON 560 : Aft cabins with direct access to the sea

Five years already! And yet this Lagoon 560 remains in the picture. Undoubtedly because the partnership between VPLP, Le Quément and Nauta had studied this yacht with talent and imagination... The 560 is impressive, with the volume of the layouts offered. The exterior surfaces are also spectacular with a forward cockpit and an XXL-sized flybridge. The aft cabins have private access to the sugarscoops. If care is taken not to use all of the huge carrying capacity offered, the 560 goes well, even in light airs - provided you hoist the code 0.

LEOPARD 58 : In full-comfort mode

As the flagship of a fleet where the living space is always impressive, the 58 will not disappoint you. Each one is equipped with its own bathroom. This comfortable catamaran is mainly aimed at crewed charter.
