Crossing the Atlantic to St. Martin in 2016 went really well, in 12 days, with several times an average of 240 miles in 24 hours, and surfs at 20 knots. We spent the winter of 2016 in St. Martin, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Cuba. During the spring and summer of 2017, we visited Chesapeake Bay, Annapolis (anchored in front of the naval academy!), part of the Intracoastal Waterways, sailed down the Delaware and stopped at Atlantic City (to replenish the coffers in the casinos!). Then it was New York, with an anchorage at the foot of the Statue of Liberty, Hudson River, East River, Long Island Sound, stop at Newport, Boston (wonderful at anchor in front of the city center) and down east to Maine, with its grandiose scenery. On our return, we stopped for ten days at Brooklyn, to wait until Jose passed, the hurricane which finally passed well out to sea. Later, the passage between Norfolk and the West Indies proved to be difficult, with the wind and the Gulf Stream against us for two days. At the end of 2018, we sailed once again between the French West Indies and Grenada, before starting our return transat in June 2018, with a long stopover in the Azores. The end result – no damage, and a nice Atlantic circuit.
