<p>For several years now, two racing circuits have been running, using the same boat, the GC 32 foiling catamaran, complicating the ‘readability’ for the spectators, as well as…the sponsors! From 2019 onwards, the GC32 Racing Tour and the Extreme Sailing Series will be just one and the same event, allowing a much more 'sexy' spectacle to be offered, with at least ten or so flying cats on the same start line - as was the case for the first GC 32 World Championship, which was held on Lake Garda last May, with 13 boats present.</p>
<p>This brand-new circuit – whose calendar has not yet been made official – could quickly become a training ground – as well as a real breeding ground – for the crews on the new SailGP circuit, which is going to be raced on a development of the former AC50s from the last America’s Cup (see our ‘News from the Pontoons’ pages).</p>
