By simply adding foils, the ST (Sport Trimaran) can be turned into the FT model (Foiling Trimaran). For the rest, it’s the same boat. The Sting 600 can easily be built at home in ply-epoxy, and above all offers the possibility of foiling without needing to spend a fortune and without being one of the big names from the America’s Cup. Because the Sting 600FT’s plus, is the design of its foils, which allow flying on either one or two foils – there is one foil on each of the floats – depending on the conditions… The no1 in the series is planned to be in the water in April. The plans are already available from the architect, and if there is sufficient demand, a kit in composite could be offered.
