Francis Joyon (twice), Ellen MacArthur, Thomas Coville and François Gabart. In 2004, Joyon took 72 days. In the middle of December 2017, François Gabart crossed the line after 42 days, 16 hours, 40 minutes and 35 seconds of a STAGGERING circumnavigation (6 days less than Coville), and with three absolute records in his pocket (solo and crewed), for Ushant – Cape of Good Hope, crossing the Pacific, and Cape Horn – Equator. During his 42 days at sea, the sailor also set the record for 24 hours (851 miles) and maintained an actual average speed of 27.2 knots!
