After the 34th America’s Cup, it was no longer possible to race a catamaran without flying! In any case, this is what the World Sailing (former ISAF) decision-making authorities said to themselves. For Tokyo 2020, the chosen catamaran would therefore have to be a foiler. Finally, the Nacra 17 was chosen again, but equipped with foils, allowing it to be faster, much more spectacular and completely modern.
