And as we have embarked aboard an AC 45 (see page 52 of this edition), we can assure you that it’s going to be mind-blowing! In the meantime, the preliminary races for the Louis Vuitton America's Cup World Series ended with a victory for Ben Ainslie and his crew, ahead of Oracle Team USA and Emirates Team New Zealand. The English therefore pocket the two bonus points promised to the winner of the LVACWS, and the Americans will start with a 1 point windfall.
As we went to press, the teams were preparing the AC 50s which will be the official boats for the Cup, whose start is planned for 26th May 2017, in Bermuda.
