The expedition’s aim was to take stock of the oceans and their pollution on a worldwide scale. Now Race for Water is setting off again for a 5-year program (2017 – 2021) around the world on the new Race for Water catamaran (the former PlanetSolar), a boat which is 100% independent, thanks to solar energy and hydrogen.
The program will take the cat to Bermuda and California in 2017 – 2018, then the North Pacific and the China Sea until 2020, and finally the Middle East in 2020 – 2021.
