The formula seems to be the most effective nowadays for cruising in absolute comfort, thanks to its very smooth passage through the water, obtained by the slim hulls and their length. Nigel Irens rams the point home by presenting this 70-meter Xplore, in association with CMN, which already has experience in this area with the 13m Ocean Eagles. Its size allows it to be equipped with a helipad and numerous exploration machines, such as a big 7m dinghy, and a bathyscaphe in a dedicated location. On the 100m² aft deck, one can even load two 40’ containers under the helicopter platform, for scientific recording equipment, for example. Its 4 x 1020 hp engines can take it to 27 knots, with 8 crew and a dozen guests.
