There were three 70-foot trimarans at the start of the famous Round Ireland race: Musandam-Oman Sail, Phaedo 3 and Concise. And the least we can say is that the final was breathtaking, as the three boats could be covered by a pocket handkerchief after 700 miles of racing. At the finish, Musandam-Oman Sail won and beat the event’s record (which it had held since last year), three minutes ahead of Phaedo 3, which itself was just 1 minute ahead of Concise. Insignificant differences, when you realize that they had been racing for over 38 hours...
