Although a lot of them have rounded
it while racing, and even in cruising boats, only two people (Yvan Bourgnon and
Seb Roubinet) had succeeded in the feat of passing in front of the famous rock
in a beach catamaran.
Franck Cammas has just rounded the Horn in a sport catamaran on foils!
The sailor achieved this personal best (you’ve really got to want to go and tackle the Pacific waves at 55° south) accompanied by a novice sailor - Johannes Wiebel, selected within the framework of the JulboSail Sessions.
Congratulation!
