After 164 legs raced in 8 Acts in the four corners of the world, The Wave, Muscat won, giving its skipper, Leigh McMillan, a new title. He thus becomes the only person to have won three titles in the nine seasons of the ExtremeSailingSeries. A clear and outright victory, but one which wasn’t won without a fight, as the multiple crashes and Team Italia’s acrobatics on the second day proved... An impressive capsize in 30 knots of wind, which showed that the Extreme 40s remain wonderful, exciting machines.
