The magic of this race is of course that it puts pros and amateurs on the same start line. And what could be more exciting than starting a race next to the Mod 70s, the former Idec (re-named Qingdao), or Alain Gautier's Orma 60 Sensation Ocean?
At the finish, the Multi 70 Groupe Edmond de Rothschild won for the third time, but by very little, ahead of Oman Sail (Sidney Gavignet) and Paprec Recyclage (Jean-Pierre Dick). Sébastien Josse and his crewmen also beat the event record, in 2h 24’15”.
