The idea is to race four 18-foot sport catamarans equipped with foils, the Flying Phantoms. On each leg, the best two are systematically qualified for the next round, and the two losers will be offered a chance to recover in a ‘last chance’ round.
The Red Bull Foiling Generation will this year be raced in Japan, England, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Russia and France, and is open to young sailors from 16 to 20 years old. The winners in each country will meet up for a ‘super final’...
