If there is one transatlantic race which is historic and iconic, it is of course the English Transat, created under the name ‘Ostar’ in 1960, and responsible for firing the imagination of generations of sailors.

In 2016, the famous singlehanded race, now called ‘The Transat’, will once more open its doors to multihulls, and we should find the Multi 50s and above all the Ultimes on the start line. The start will take place in May 2016 from Plymouth, but the location of the finish is as yet unknown.
