The idea is to bring together boats propelled uniquely by solar energy, to demonstrate (if it really needed to be) the concept’s validity. To date, 25 crews, from Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and the United States have already announced that they will be present between the 9th and 11th of next July. The boats, which are a concentrate of technology, thought up and designed by young engineers from prestigious universities, will be confronting each other in fleet races, slaloms or in two by two challenges, off the Principality. Last year, certain boats were even equipped with foils. We would like to bet that this year, this technology will have become widespread, giving even more spectacular races.
