Nevertheless, for everything to work well, these sails generally have no battens, which restricts their performance. Primrose Fry Technologies Ltd has just presented these modern battens, which once the sail is rolled, allow it to be held even better than a battenless sail, whilst boosting its performance with a perfect profile when sailing. As for the mainsail, we can imagine that these battens could work just as well and allow an efficient rolling system whilst remaining high-performance.
