It’s impossible to really escape the chore of antifouling on our catamarans; however the means of having an effective system which doesn’t require annual application now exist.

This is the case for M300, an antifouling containing 99% pure copper, which has the advantage that it can be applied by anyone, by roller or spraying. Just one coat is sufficient, to be renewed every 5 years...
And it works rather well, as the condition of the hull of the catamaran Tivicat proves, eight months after its treatment. A simple wash with a high pressure jet is enough for the catamaran to be as clean as possible, allowing its skipper, Thierry Peponnet, to set off for some new adventures, such as the start of the Tour de France à la Voile, or the Volvo...
