500 sailors met up for the 20th Hobie 16 Worlds, held at the beginning of February, in Jervis Bay, Australia.

Representing 27 nations, these competitors were treated to a tough world championship, with waves and quite violent winds (gusts of over 30 knots), as was the case during the final of the Hobie 16 Masters, whose second leg had to be cancelled: too much wind for the race to be started safely.
In total, titles were awarded in the Young, Female, Grand Master and Master categories, and quite obviously, the Australians were particularly outstanding on their home waters...
