To solve this squaring of the circle, four enthusiasts have launched an original idea: to share skills, knowledge, and even self-building and co-ownership, by creating a community of designers/builders. A genuine ‘open source’ catamaran project!
The idea is to put the construction plans (whose ownership will therefore be collective) at the disposal of the pre-selected co-designers, to create an ocean cruising catamaran which is not revolutionary, but has a reasonable price.
If you are interested, and think you could bring something to the project, you can join the open source catamaran team and, why not, co-design and co-build the cat of your dreams...
