Banque Populaire, Macif and Sodebo are indubitably record hunters, but here it is a question of going even further, by creating a racing programme whose high spot will be a singlehanded round the world race in 2017. Banque Populaire and Sodebo already have their own boats, whilst the new Macif is under construction. All that remains is to convince the other skippers (Francis Joyon on Idec – as well as Lionel Lemonchois on Prince 80’, or, why not, Yann Guichard on Spindrift II) for this definitively ultimate race of multihulls to be an event not to be missed..
