This solution is a simple electrode glued inside the hull, which diffuses different ultrasonic frequencies along the hull, thus stopping the proliferation of marine micro-organisms (weed and shellfish), with no pollution or harmful effects on the fauna and flora.
Electroclean – the name of this ultrasound transmitter – is effective on all materials except wood, and its effects are advertised as being permanent.
Price for a 12-metre catamaran: 2,399 euros exc. VAT.
