The nautical ‘raid’ is the best. And in a sport catamaran it is absolutely brilliant! But the 18-foot cats are sometimes a bit too ‘race-oriented’ to allow stress-free sailing.

To give new life to your 18-footer, or to turn it into a genuine ‘raid’ boat, Forward Sailing has just put the very first mainsail specially designed for coastal raids on the market.
This mainsail fits the Hobie 18 Formula, as well as the Pacifics and the majority of the F18s. The result? A moderately powerful sail, with reefs, which is robust, to follow you on all your raids.
Note that Forward Sailing is making the sails for Yvan Bourgnon, for his round the world trip on a sport cat...
Price: 1200 euros, with battens and sail bag.
