A very luxury-oriented Boat Show took place at Sanya, in the south of
China, from 30th March to 2nd April. Elitist cars, business jets and
famous jewellers mixed with the yachts and the few sailing boats
exhibited, with no hang-ups.
Whilst this was only the fourth edition, the event has now succeeded in becoming an essential date in the calendar for rich Chinese: a population which is growing exponentially. As France is on the cutting edge of both the luxury and nautical industries, it is logical that our companies were strongly represented – either afloat, for the most experienced in this market, or on the superb Ubi France stand, whose fuchsia-pink reproduction of the Eiffel Tower served as a beacon for the whole exhibition.
