The Hydroptère has been on stand-by in California to try and beat the record for crossing the Pacific between Los Angeles and Honolulu, but has waited in vain for the right weather window. Kersauson's record aboard Geronimo (4 days and 19 hours) will therefore stand for at least a few more months, as Alain Thébault and his crew must now wait for spring to be able to attempt the crossing again in good conditions...
