It's now official: the Rallye des Iles du Soleil will now be organised by Grand Pavois Organisation. This rally has existed for 20 years now, and allows amateurs to live their dream of crossing the Atlantic and discovering the Atlantic islands.

The rally will set sail for Brazil in October 2013 (about fifty sailing boats are expected), from La Rochelle and the Mediterranean, with a stopover to meet up in Madeira before arriving in Brazil then sailing up part of the Amazon. And the icing on the cake is that it should be arriving in a French overseas port, but shhh, it's still a secret.
With the arrival of Grand Pavois as organiser, we are in any case certain that multihulls will be made very welcome to the rally.
Those of you who are tempted by the adventure no longer have an excuse: you will have to leave, sail, enjoy and tell us about sailing up the Amazon in the magazine...
