2010 was a particularly good period for Sunreef, with the launch of two superyachts. In 2011, the builder began construction of a new 82-foot Double Deck catamaran, and at the very beginning of 2012, the news was made official: a new Sunreef 80 is going to see the light of day. Enough to keep the builder busy for the coming months!

The new Sunreef 80 will be built in composites, and equipped with a carbon mast and boom, and a Kevlar rig. Because the aim is to obtain an unladen displacement of less than 45 tonnes (60 tonnes fully laden) with 340m² of sail to windward. Moreover its streamlined silhouette confirms that this is a real sailing boat, which will be able to cover good averages under sail. But the 80 will still be a Sunreef, with made-to-measure accommodation, a flybridge, and a cockpit with dining areas; enough to welcome 9 guests and 4 crew members in the greatest comfort.
