The British Virgin Islands are a favorite destination for boaters thanks to the wide variety of anchorages and the particularly pleasant sailing conditions. However, marina infrastructure has remained somewhat limited - except in Road Town, the capital.

That shortfall will soon be a thing of the past, as Nanny Cay Marina, which already accommodates 302 yachts and can haul multihulls up to 70 tons and 32 feet wide (9.75 m), is set to add 112 new slips and, most notably, a 150-ton travel lift with a 44-foot beam capacity (13.4 m).
The project, estimated at over $30 million, also includes a new beach and numerous additional facilities. Completion is scheduled for late 2028.
