The powercat, which has just been launched, features a very modern design with inverted bows and is particularly light for its class, displacing just 18.5 tonnes, thanks to its relatively fine hulls and, in particular, the meticulous glass/epoxy and carbon/epoxy construction.
The AY60 offers optimal self-sufficiency when it comes to energy thanks to its 8 kWp solar panels and 1,800 Ah 48-volt battery. The powercat also boasts a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 8 knots.
Hull #1 has been specially designed for operation in crewed charter, featuring a beach club at the bow incorporating an electric staircase. Other configurations are available for owner-operators or offshore cruisers.
The series includes the AY60 Sport and AY60 Flybridge versions, available with hybrid or outboard diesel engines. Three further hulls are already in build.
