This leg marks the official start of the second edition of the round-the-world rally in three years, organized by the Grand Large Yachting group for the owners of its Allures, Outremer, Garcia, Gunboat, RM, and ORC brands. Twenty-two crews representing 11 nationalities are registered for this 2025-2028 edition. Among them is the Explocat 52 Alofi, which will take the southern route via Cape Horn, and several participants arriving directly from the Nordic Odyssey to continue their circumnavigation. This is the case for the Outremer 55s Yolo and Kairos, and the Outremer 52 Franny. Saladiva, another Explocat 52, will join the fleet in Polynesia after completing a half-circumnavigation with the GLYWO 500, the previous edition from 2021 to 2024.
