The hulls offer plenty of volume at deck level, and while the bows are very narrow, they feature a chine. As a result, the tunnel between the hulls is quite high and narrow, which should provide very effective shock absorption. The build incorporates numerous carbon reinforcements to stiffen the structure (which can easily support a tuna tower) while lightening the powercat. Although this new model was designed primarily for fishing, with its rod holders and livewells, it is also perfect for a day out on the water with family or friends, with sunbathing areas at the bow, an outdoor galley, and even fitted-out down below.
The Aquila 36 Molokai is due to be unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 29 to November 2).
