The Archipelago 80 requires just three feet (one meter) of water to explore any shoreline or river. The Portuguese deck provides protection for the crew in all weathers.
Diesel-electric propulsion is offered as standard, with various propulsion options available, including water jets and variable-pitch propellers, tailored to specific needs. And to be green at anchor, solar panels totaling over 20 kWp are available.
The cockpit features a large work area with lashing points designed to accommodate expedition equipment. The Palfinger crane with its articulated jib and the reinforced deck structure facilitate the transport of a standard 20-foot shipping container, a pocket submarine and various heavy bits of equipment. A high-capacity helipad on the upper deck is also available as an option.
These adventurous features may obscure the fact that the Archipelago 80 is also a luxury yacht that can be customized with a selection of high-quality interior finishes. Inside, the 80 boasts a spacious, open-plan saloon with bar and day galley, offering guests stunning panoramic views. In the hulls, a customizable range of cabins is available for guests and crew. There’s also a main galley and laundry or combined workspace, accessible from the living quarters or cockpit. The helm station serves as an adaptable living space, including a bar and entertainment area on its shaded balcony.
