Balance Catamarans

The proposed technology is a parallel hybrid propulsion system that dispenses with the need for a generator and reduces the amperage in the electrical circuit. A substantial lithium-iron-phosphate battery bank stores the energy produced by hydro-generation and solar panels (Balance claims up to 18 kW), for use in on-board equipment and, of course, the electric drivetrain.

The first Balance hybrid is scheduled for launch later this year.
