We learn that the initial layer of gelcoat is transparent to ensure optimum quality control of the infusion process. Comar Yachts has also incorporated sustainable solutions into the construction of the C Cat 65. These include the use of more environmentally friendly materials, such as recycled carbon for the first layer throughout the deck, bio-sourced resin and gelcoat for certain parts of the boat, and recycled PET for the counter-molds.
Efficient management of energy resources and consumables has been implemented, as has the recycling of molds from other boats.
The C Cat 65’s modern design with strongly inverted bows promises excellent performance, but comfort will not be outdone, with 2,420 square feet (225 m²) of living space on offer.
Launch is scheduled for July 2025.
