Loyal since 2008 to their Super Maramu, a ketch built in 2000 by Amel, they announced the construction in Brisbane, Australia, of Delos 2.0, an aluminum catamaran designed by Villiers Marine Design. This multihull, designed for expeditions in all latitudes, emphasizes energy self-sufficiency with a hybrid powertrain and 3.75 kWp of solar panels.
Why the change? After many years of monohull sailing, Captain Brian and the crew first wanted to try a catamaran to enjoy more space, sail without heeling, and “settle down” at anchor without fear of rolling. But Delos 2.0 will also meet the needs of true adventurers while exploiting new, more environmentally friendly technological solutions. Welcome to Delos!
