In fact, although this new 63, which is directly derived from the 60, has a central hull that is just over a meter (3 feet) longer, it is mainly the nacelle that has been enlarged, with an extra 1½ meters (5 feet) of width compared to the Rapido 60. It should be noted that the modified 60 used by the crew of Sailing La Vagabonde had already benefited from an extra 50 cm (18”)... This feat has been achieved by combining a very pronounced chine in the hull topsides with a new deck layout incorporating a much wider coachroof.
Thanks to carefully managed “excess weight,” the 63 should be almost as fast as the 60. “We even believe that the 63 will be as fast, if not faster than the 60 due to the increase in waterline,” predicts Phil Johns, General Manager of Triac Composites. Inside, there is a spacious living area and four double cabins (with the option of adding two single berths). The finishes are customizable, including wood veneers and cushion colors, allowing owners to tailor the design to suit their preferences.
