By replacing traditional mechanical circuit breakers and switches with digital power distribution, EmpirBus simplifies the electrical architecture and frees up space on board. Its ultra-compact Connect 50 box, with twenty outputs and eleven inputs, controls, protects, and monitors circuits without physical fuses. Resistant to the marine environment (IP65 rating), it can be easily mounted near equipment to reduce cabling and to optimize load distribution. The result is an installation that’s lighter in weight, has easier maintenance, and increased network reliability.
Beyond its control function, the system offers comprehensive energy monitoring. Battery voltage, tank levels, inverters, stabilizers, fire or intrusion detectors: all data can be viewed at a glance. Alarms and automated scenarios can be customized by the shipyard or installer depending on the type of unit.
As is the case in the automotive industry, EmpirBus also paves the way for numerous automated processes, such as lights management, activating the correct sequences at anchor, for example, and displaying integrated alerts. The system communicates via the NMEA 2000 network and interfaces naturally with the Garmin ecosystem, from GPSMAP to Boat Switch for simpler configurations.
