The smallest model is the Odisea 48 - or ODC 48 - which stands out for its relatively low freeboard and, above all, its daggerboards, suggesting that the designers’ aim is to reconcile a material usually reserved for multihulls designed for extreme long-distance cruising (ice, navigating little-frequented rivers) with a genuine quest for performance. An effective anti-leeway design combined with a large sail area (no flybridge) and very light displacement are all guarantees of high average speeds. Note the rounded design and, above all, the surprisingly narrow sugarscoops, reminiscent of the racing multihulls of the 1990s – to ensure low drag in light airs. Two further models are coming soon: the Odisea 55 and Odisea 64.
