Our YouTube Short:
“At first, we tested a 100% rigid dinghy,” explains Jean-Baptiste. Pierre had thought of a catamaran hull, which is more stable and performs better. It was a bit heavy and there was the problem of contact with the mother boat. So we opted for a rigid carbon hull and an inflatable deck." With a 15 HP regular outboard motor, the AxCat 350 can reach 16 knots, but as it planes very flat, it requires a long-shaft version. With the Temo 1000, you can expect 5 knots with 3 people on board and about 90 minutes of autonomy. A 3-kW motor is due to be available soon.
On board, you’ll find a deck covering (and the deck is self-draining), plenty of storage space and, of course, four anchoring points for hoisting the dinghy on the davits.
