Launched in 2024, Seawolf X was built by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi and was designed from the outset to offer a unique charter experience combining luxury, performance, and respect for the environment.
The project was initiated at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2022, with the concept presented earlier during the Miami Design Week in 2021. This catamaran marks Rossinavi’s first foray into multihull construction. The exterior design was entrusted to Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, while the interior was designed by the New York-based Meyer Davis studio, renowned for its work in the luxury hotel industry.
On the technical side, it is a 140-foot (42.75-meter) aluminum catamaran powered by a hybrid-electric propulsion system including a bank of lithium-ion batteries, solar panels, two 300 kW diesel-electric generators, and two 250 kW electric motors. This system provides a range of 5,400 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 8 knots while sailing silently.
The catamaran is also capable of speeds of up to 12 knots, ideal for getting from one place to another without spending the whole day under way. Once anchored for the night, it switches to “hibernation” mode, which reduces its energy consumption. An artificial intelligence system analyzes the yacht’s operations, anticipates guests’ needs, and communicates with the crew to promote energy-efficient settings.
In practical terms, Seawolf X can sail for a full day in 100% electric mode. If necessary, she can also be fully recharged in just five hours and, conversely, has enough energy to power a villa.
Another positive point is that, despite its imposing size, the catamaran has a draft of only 6 feet (1.85 m), allowing it to anchor in small coves and closer to the shore, a real advantage for customers
Natural Materials
Designed for charter, Seawolf X boasts modern, timeless décor with influences from New York lofts and using typical Italian refinement. This combination was created by Meyer Davis, a design firm based in New York. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the catamaran can accommodate up to 12 guests in five elegant cabins with a relaxing décor also inspired by nature. Emphasis has also been placed on natural and recyclable materials such as oak, leather, and recycled wool, all embellished with luxurious and sophisticated touches to satisfy a demanding clientele.
It starts with the Owner’s cabin located at the front of the main deck, which spans the entire width of the catamaran. Like all the other cabins, this cabin has a private bathroom and a king-size bed. There are also two separate showers, while the washbasins have a floor-to-ceiling side window for a unique experience. Plenty of storage space and a reading corner complete this space, and there is even a desk right next to the window, perfect for drawing inspiration from the sea and feeling like Hemingway himself.
The two VIP cabins are also very welcoming, each with a queen-size bed and private bathroom. Finally, the last two cabins are modular and can be configured with two single beds or a double bed slightly smaller than a queen size.
More than 1,000 sq ft in the Saloon
The common areas do not disappoint, as the lounge alone covers an area of 1,068 sq ft (100 m²) and includes a large dining table and a spacious L-shaped seating area.
Another feature that is appreciated during a charter, Seawolf X has its own gym, spa, and sauna, a real luxury on board.
The outdoor spaces are divided into three distinct areas: the cockpit, the foredeck, and the flybridge. The cockpit is designed for socializing, with a large table, a relaxation area, and even a swimming pool.
To make the most of the scenery and the sunshine, the flybridge features a bar, a lounge area, and two large sunloungers designed for relaxation, taking a nap, or enjoying a massage. Finally, the foredeck is quite innovative, featuring a gazebo with very modern lines. Underneath it, there is a lounge, a jacuzzi with a breathtaking view, and even a home theater.
Toys for Everyone
Chartering means leisure, and here again, Seawolf X does not disappoint, as it has enough toys for everyone and for all tastes. If you are keen on swimming, the large aft platform is ideal and can even be supplemented with floating pontoons.
For more athletic activities, the catamaran has two Sea-Doo Spark jet skis, two Seabobs, two Cudajet Underwater Jetpacks, a Fliteboard electric foil surfboard, and six sets of scuba gear... That’s not all! In addition to the seawater pool mentioned above, guests can also enjoy wakeboards, water skis, inflatable tubes, paddleboards, and even several inflatable kayaks.
Finally, there is also a 13-meter (43-foot) Sacs Strider rib tender and a 5.35-meter (17-foot) jet tender.
Available in the Mediterranean or the Caribbean
Seawolf X is a catamaran with genuine sailing capabilities that is not afraid to make long voyages. As such, it does not have a fixed base but changes location depending on the season.
In the summer, it can mainly be found in the western Mediterranean, i.e. France, Italy, Corsica, Sardinia, the Balearic Islands, and Monaco.
In the winter, the catamaran makes an Atlantic crossing and is available for charter in Bermuda, the Bahamas, the British and US Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, and Saint Lucia.
Service and Prices
Given its cost, a week’s charter aboard Seawolf X is bound to be a unique experience. To take care of guests, the catamaran can carry up to nine crew members, which is enough even for twelve people on board. You can also make specific requests regarding food (an onboard chef is always appreciated) or the itinerary.
In terms of rates, Seawolf X is still a newcomer to the charter world. For the moment, it is offered by several agencies such as Cecil Wright & Partner, Liquid Yachts, IYC (International Yacht Collection), Greece Yachts, Marcus Yachting, and Yacht Cloud.
Rates range from $380,000 to $420,000 per week, excluding additional costs and fees.
